Key Account Manager - Photovoltaic industry

Our Client is a well-established distributor and technical partner in the renewable energy sector, specializing in solar inverter solutions and related power electronics. The company represents a leading global manufacturer in the region and supports customers through both commercial activities and technical service. The organization is recognized for its strong market position across Central and Eastern Europe and for its combination of sales expertise and technical know-how.
They are looking for a Key Account Manager in Romania.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strategic, long-term, and trusting relationships with key accounts in the photovoltaics sector.
- Serve as the main liaison between management and customers, ensuring alignment with the company’s sales and annual turnover targets.
- Identify and seize opportunities to drive sales of new products within our growing portfolio.
- Understand customer needs and deliver tailor-made solutions that maximize satisfaction and value.
- Oversee key projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and top-quality execution.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize profitability while ensuring customer retention.
- Provide management with accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Key Account Management or Sales role, within the photovoltaics / renewable energy industry.
- Proven project management and negotiation skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills — a true relationship builder.
- Aptitude in networking and developing long-term business partnerships.
- Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet critical deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and persuasive presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent command of Romanian (min. C1) and English (min. B2).
- Valid driving license (Group B) required.
